Pirates Pub – Platinum Pizza and Food Court

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

This policy explains what information the Pirates Pub ordering app collects, why it is collected, where it is kept, and what we do not do with it. It covers the online ordering app only — it does not cover anything that happens in person at the restaurant, over the phone, or on our social media pages.

1. Who we are

Pirates Pub – Platinum Pizza and Food Court, located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, operates this ordering app and is responsible for the customer information it collects. The app is built and maintained for us by HighMark Business Systems.

To reach us about anything in this policy, call 492-6481.

2. What this app does

The app shows our daily rotating menu and lets you send a food order ahead to our kitchen. There is no customer account, no sign-up, no password and no online payment — you place an order, the kitchen prepares it, and you pay cash when you collect it.

3. Information we collect when you place an order

When you submit an order, we record only what the kitchen needs in order to make it and hand it to the right person:

Orders typed in by our own staff at the counter are stored the same way, marked as walk-in. If no name is given, the order is simply labelled with its order number.

What we do not collect

4. Payment information

Orders are paid in cash at pickup. The app only stores a simple paid / unpaid marker on the order so that our kitchen and owner can keep track of what has been collected and settled at the end of the day. No financial account details are ever entered into or stored by this app.

5. Where your information is stored

Submitted orders are stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore, a database service provided by Google, on Google's servers. Google acts as our technology provider and processes this data on our behalf in order to run the service. The app pages themselves are served by our web hosting provider.

Orders are kept as part of our normal business and sales records. When an order record is no longer needed for those records, it is removed from the system.

6. Information kept on your own device

The app stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. This never leaves your device unless you place an order, and we cannot read it remotely. It is used to keep the app fast and to remember device-level settings.

Stored itemWhat it is for
pp_menu_<day>A cached copy of that day's menu, so the app still loads quickly on a slow connection.
pp_sWhich items have been marked sold out.
pp_nThe last order number seen on this device.
pp_oA local list of the most recent orders placed from this device (up to 50), including the name and phone entered, used for the on-device order history screen.
pp_admin / pp_ownerFlags noting that a staff or owner area was unlocked on this device.

Because pp_o keeps recent order details on the device, you should avoid placing orders on a shared or public device. You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this app, or by using the "clear history" option in the staff area.

The app does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may also cache images, fonts and pages in the normal way it caches any website.

7. Third-party services

To deliver the app, your browser loads resources from the following services. As a normal part of serving those files, these providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, device type and browser version:

We do not control how these providers handle the technical data they receive; their own privacy policies apply.

8. Staff, kitchen and owner areas

The app has separate PIN-protected screens for our counter staff, kitchen and owner. These are shared workplace access codes for restaurant roles — they are not personal user accounts, and customers do not have or need one.

Staff working a shift can see the names, phone numbers, items and notes on current orders, because that is what is needed to prepare an order and hand it to the right customer. The owner screen additionally shows daily revenue and which orders are paid or unpaid. Access to these screens is limited to authorised Pirates Pub personnel.

9. What we never do

The only situations where we would share order information outside the restaurant are where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect the safety, rights or property of our customers, our staff or the business.

10. Children

This app is intended for use by adults placing food orders. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal details through the app, call us on 492-6481 and we will remove the record.

11. Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what order information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your past order records. Call 492-6481 and give the name, phone number and rough date used on the order so we can find it. We may need to keep certain records where required for accounting or legal purposes.

To remove the copy held on your own device, clear your browser's site data for this app.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information in the app, including restricting the staff, kitchen and owner screens behind access codes and relying on Google's secure, encrypted infrastructure to store order records. No app or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
